Homepage EventsSibelius Academy Lied Concert 14.12.2025 16:00 – 17:00 Concert Kirpilä Art Collection Sibelius Academy Lied Concert The traditional Sibelius Academy Lied Concert at Kirpilä Art Collection features soprano Eleriin Müüripeal and pianist Iivari Aalto. At the heart of the programme is Lili Boulanger’s (1893–1918) powerful song cycle Clairières dans le ciel (Clearings in the Sky), set to poems by Francis Jammes. Eleriin Müüripeal is an Estonian soprano and choral conductor currently completing her master’s studies in classical singing at the Sibelius Academy. She has performed widely across Europe as both a soloist and ensemble singer, and appears on the Grammy Award–winning recording “Reconnaissance” by the Helsinki Chamber Choir. Pianist Iivari Aalto studies at the Sibelius Academy under Professor Tuija Hakkila. Active as a soloist, chamber musician and répétiteur, he also serves as Artistic Director of the RADALLA Chamber Music Festival. In 2025, Aalto was a finalist at the Tampere Piano Competition. Müüripeal and Aalto have performed together since 2023 and are known for their artistically ambitious lied programmes.
