Homepage EventsConcert: Anna-Sofia Anttonen 7.5.2026 17:00 – 18:00 Concert Kirpilä Art Collection Concert: Anna-Sofia Anttonen Anna-Sofia Anttonen’s music brings together delicately tuned tones, layered electronics, and at times even playful pipe‑piper-like elements. Alongside saxophones, she plays ceramic Kukkapilli flutes developed in collaboration with Armi Teva. The flutes’ microtonal tuning and imaginative shapes—flowers, birds, animals, and various creatures—lead the listener into an imaginary place where one can attune to subtle feelings and sway along. Anttonen’s works intertwine peace, playfulness, sensitivity, and sorrow, exploring the physicality of the pipe player as well as the states of breathing and breath-holding. Registration for the concert opens on this event page on 21 April 2026 at 10 AM. There are 45 seats, all available for online reservation. On the day of the concert, the museum doors will open 15 minutes before the performance begins.
