Welcome to Taidekoti Kirpilä! During the tour, participants can get to know Finnish art from the 1920s. This was a time when recently independent Finland lived through profound social and cultural changes.

Indeed, many artworks in the Kirpilä Art Collection show a tension between tradition and modernity that was typical of the time. The tour is based on the online exhibition which will be published on 5 May on the museum’s webpages, and it’s lead by Dr. Antonella Perna, who also curated the exhibition.

The Kirpilä Art Collection remote guided tour is arranged as a Teams meeting. You don’t have to download the app, but you can join the tour also by browser.

When the tour begins, press: Teams link.

Turn off your microphone and your video image. You can pin the tour view as the main view on your screen with the “pin” tool. On a computer screen the selection opens next to the name “Taidekoti Kirpilä” behind three points.

During the tour you can ask the guide questions – ask for attention either by the “raise hand” function or by the chat function.

The tour participant should have a net of minimum 10 Mbit/s speed or a 4G connection. It is not allowed to record the remote guided tour.
