“The Room Where We Meet” is a performance about death choreographed for four performers. The work is based on choreographer Jenni Kivelä’s personal experience of her father’s death and how she dealt with it.

The performance, set in Kirpilä Art Collection, invites the viewer to join in like a guest at a memorial service. The performance takes the audience to a place that is simultaneously a mourner’s mind, estate of the deceased, a surreal dreamscape and a liminal space in which to confront the dead. “The Room Where We Meet” is a gently participatory experiential performance.
